Opening Hours : Monday to Friday - 8 Am to 5 Pm
To structure a successful outreach event, our first step was securing an appointment with Dadouchi Farid, the director of the Mohammed VI High School of Excellence (LM6E). This school was chosen for its emphasis on a technological approach to teaching and its keen interest in integrating coding into their curriculum. The targeted age group for the students ranged between 14 to 16 years.
During our meeting with Mr. Farid, we introduced our team and provided an overview of collective intelligence, showcasing our website. Together, we navigated through the website, focusing on its features, particularly the courses section, where we explained each course's benefits for children. We shared details about our target audience, and Mr. Farid connected us with approximately 30 interested students.
We also highlighted our unique offerings that could help children explore new programming concepts. To create a conducive environment, we proposed collaborating with their computer science professor and suggested his involvement in the class during the activity. Mr. Farid expressed enthusiasm and recommended expanding the program into multiple sessions in the future. As a result, we scheduled the outreach presentation for January 20th, which took place at UM6P, Rabat. The event featured the participation of their computer science professor and drew an audience of more than 20 students. Read More
Following the explanation of theoretical concepts, the next step is practical implementation using programming languages. Ridwan initially introduced them to Scratch, a fundamental block programming language, to apply concepts such as algorithms, sequences, loops, etc.
After reinforcing the fundamental concepts, the subsequent step involves introducing a high-level programming language called Python to them.
In this stage, we cover and implement concepts like:
- Mathematical operations
- Variables
- Loop and conditional statements
